Lumigan (Bimatoprost) Description
Lumigan is a medicated eye drop that is indicated in the treatment of glaucoma or other causes of raised intraocular pressure.
Lumigan forms part of a category of drugs known as prostamides. Prostamides have many uses in the human body, one of which is to dilate the canals that drain fluids from the eyes. Lumigan thus accomplishes its objective of reducing intraocular pressure by causing the drainage of excess fluid from the eyes.
Lumigan eye drops lower the pressure in the eye by helping the flow of fluid out of the eye chamber.
Lumigan eye drops can be used alone or together with other eyedrops/medicines to lower raised pressure within your eyes.
Lumigan is also known as Lumigan.
