Betagan Description

Betagan is developed by medical scientists to fight with high pressure inside the eyes. Target of Betagan is to treat glaucoma and condition called ocular (eye) hypertension. It acts on receptors in the blood vessels of the eye and causes them to constrict. This lessens the amount of watery fluid (aqueous humour) that passes out of the blood vessels into the eye-ball. Betagan also blocks the area of the eye that actively produces aqueous humour.

Betagan is also known as Finacea, Finacea Plus, Finevin.

Generic name of Betagan is Levobunolol (Ophthalmic route).
